The Color is a blue in person which was actually even prettier. The material is not thick, but not thin and has some stretch to it.I'm 5'6" and weigh 166 pounds and wear a size L
I could wear the XL too - there is very little difference between the 2 sizes.

Background: I'm tall. Bought x-large in blue. Fit perfect. Pros: gorgeous overall cut. lots of compliments. Feels effortlessly elegant but easy and casual at the same time. Blue is a bright happy summer color. A patterned fabric would be less likely to show panty lines, cellulite, etc. Overall, 5 stars, I'll buy it in another color.

It's a great purchase! I spent weeks trying to find an affordable, blue dress and found a bunch that were either too expensive/not worth the money, looked cheap, didn't fit right, or were ridiculously sexy/revealing. I'm 5'5, 150lbs, 34DD, got the medium and it fit great. The fabric has some give so it'd look fine and fit fine with different body shapes and sizes. The length was fine. Super comfy, flowy, and appropriate for a wedding, graduation, sorority recruitment event, or similar event.
